California Snap EBT

Welcome to SNAP EBT information page for the state of California.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a financial support program for low-income households. The monthly payments boost the family’s food budget, allowing users to afford to buy healthy food.

The program, often known as food stamps, is jointly managed by federal and state agencies, which means that assistance is distributed differently across the country.

CalFresh, a state-supervised and county-operated initiative, is the program’s name in California.

There is no asset or resource restriction for SNAP benefits in California; however, there are eligibility requirements based on both gross and net income.
