Illinois Snap EBT

Welcome to SNAP EBT information page for the state of Illinois.

Illinois SNAP (previously Illinois Food Stamps) provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families in Illinois so they can purchase the food they need for a nutritionally appropriate diet.

The “Illinois Link Card,” an electronic card accepted at most grocery stores displaying the “Illinois Link” sign, is used to receive benefits. There is no ATM withdrawal option for SNAP benefits.

The key deciding factors for eligibility are your household size and income. While anybody may apply for SNAP, senior SSI beneficiaries and single moms are more likely to be approved than other applicants.
